For so many years I found myself in a cycle of “I’ll nevers” and “I can’ts” while constantly comparing myself to everyone who seemed to have everything I wanted. I was so envious of the people who appeared to have it all. I wondered for so long why I couldn’t have what I wanted. It all felt so unattainable. It got to the point where I couldn’t even picture myself having any of these things because it felt so far out of reach. I told myself I’d never to be able to have what I actually wanted, and I would just have to suck it up and accept the fact that I’d be working for the weekend and could only be slightly happy for the rest of my life.

I promised you a while ago that I would add to my personal development post and share my favorite motivational videos, podcasts and articles.

This morning I woke up to a text message from a sweet friend and former co-worker of mine, sharing a video that you’ll see below. She saw that video and felt compelled to share it with me, thinking I’d enjoy it. To say that I enjoyed it is an understatement. I watched and listened with tears in my eyes. I needed to see it. I needed to hear the messages behind it. I’ve watched it countless times since she shared it with me this morning.

I’ve watched many motivational personal development videos on YouTube but this one trumps all by far.

If you are stuck, lost, feeling uneasy, feeling uninspired or just simply need a powerful dose of encouragement this is it. This is your sign. Please — take a few minutes to watch, and I promise you, you will be left feeling inspired and ready to tackle whatever it is that lies before you.

There are so many incredible words I could quote from this video, but one that continues to stick with me as I watch it over and over says: “There’s nothing you cannot be. There’s nothing you cannot do. There’s nothing you cannot have.”
