this week on pinterest: VSCO filters, DIY's, and 29 of the best blog tips

I have found such a deep appreciation for Pinterest lately. So much so, that I’ve put Instagram on the back burner a bit to focus on growing my business and my blog accounts on the platform. I plan on doing a detailed post on Pinterest and a few tutorials on how to use certain features and apps like Tailwind, but in the mean time I figured I’d start sharing a roundup of my favorite pins each week in this new series.

If you don’t already have an account for your blog and/or business yet, you need to sign up right. this. second. If you have an account already, check out my favorites from this week below:

  • VSCO Filters: I use VSCO to edit all of my photos before posting to Instagram. If I’m stuck in a creative rut and can’t seem to get the right edit on my own, I turn to Pinterest for some inspo. What I love about finding VSCO filter ideas on Pinterest, is that many of the photos will share the exact adjustments right on the image so that it’s easy for you to recreate it on your own. My favorite this week is this warm, dreamy fall-inspired filter:

  • DIYs on a Budget — long story short, my boyfriend bought a farmhouse from the mid 1800s back when we were in college. Over 6 years later, the house still needs a lot of work. While it’s not quite move-in ready, I am constantly looking for ideas on how we can decorate the house when it’s finally ready. Pinterest seriously has a never ending collection of DIYs you can do on a budget. My favorite of the week are these Dollar Store hacks. I can’t WAIT to give these a try and will certainly be sharing them with you when the time comes!

I’ve raved about Create and Go before, and if you’re a new blogger or even an experienced blogger, Alex and Lauren have incredible, valuable information to share. This couple has two highly successful blogs that bring in six figures every MONTH and they have the stats to back it up. This particular post offers nearly 30 helpful tips for new bloggers. I refer to this list often.
